Client: Winchester Kitchens
Problem: To market and sell high quality kitchens in a crowded market place.
Market: Residential / commercial property owners in the Winchester area who are looking to replace their current kitchen with one that is beautifully designed and installed by a local company.
Creative Solutions: Winchester Kitchens had been using a marketing company to produce advertisements for them. Following a phone call from the client, Kim was able to advise them as to why their current advertising wasn't as effective as it should be. We designed and wrote an advertisement for them to prove our point, and it ran in one magazine. The advertisement we produced was 'Some like it hot', and it brought customers through the door, all of whom bought new kitchens.
By correctly identifying the target market and the correct publications, Kim's advertisements have been sending customers to Winchester Kitchens for the last 18 months. Magazines are generally full of kitchen advertisements that all follow the same concept and layout. By creating advertisements that are completely different to any of them and that are totally original, Kim ensures perpetual customer interest. Our advertisements all follow a theme and are branded in a way that makes them instantly recognisable as belonging to the client. So much so, that when another design service copied the style and format of our advertisements for their kitchen client, customers went to Winchester Kitchens by mistake. (Sadly for the other kitchen company, their customers then proceeded to buy from Winchester Kitchens!)
Our client actively sources new places to advertise, regularly sponsoring local sporting events and locations, and theatrical and charity productions. White Cat Design produce individual advertisements in each case that tie in with both the location and the event being sponsored. The advertisement on the 18th hole of the Golf Course, for instance, carries the heading "par excellence".
Kim also replaced the client's previous budget flyer with a fold-out A6 leaflet, which can be found in its own acrylic holder in various appropriate locations around the City. She has subsequently re-designed and replaced all of Winchester Kitchens signage and site boards.
Client feedback: The client is always very pleased with the new advertisements Kim writes for them. We are immensely proud that they consider White Cat Design to be part of their business, and that we have been able to play such a fun and handsome role in their turnover increased of 400% in the last 18 months.
