Client: One Source Magazine
Problem: To design and artwork a bi-monthly, A5 colour, alternative lifestyle magazine.
Market: Complementary therapists and holistic practioners.
Creative Solution: For 18 months, White Cat Design produced the artwork for One Source, a bi-monthly alternative lifestyle magazine. Using copy supplied in Word, the artwork was created in Quark Xpress using a simple 6 column grid. Kim Byatt produced all of the illustrations for the magazine herself, and due to budget constraints, each illustration was completed in under half an hour. All proofing stages were carried out electronically, and final print-ready artwork was supplied to a local FSC accredited printer on CD with PDF proofs. The magazine was produced on recycled stock and used vegetable inks whenever budget allowed.
Client feedback: The client was thrilled with the way her magazine looked and with the speed and quality of service given by White Cat Design.
