Client: Burlison Photography, Hampshire.
Problem: Burlison Photography wanted to raise the profile of their business whilst clearly showing that they were far more than simply wedding photographers.
Market: Corporate clients, businesses and the general public across a broad income range.

Creative Solution 1: White Cat Design completely re-designed the client's existing website, replacing it with a bespoke CMS site that enabled the client to make image changes themselves without having to rely on a third party supplier. Whilst CMS costs more up-front than a static website , it's sustainability lies in it's negation of further web developer alteration charges, and is especially suited to clients who need to make regular amendments to their site throughout the year. Kim produced visuals and layouts for every page of the new site, and sub-contracted the bespoke build to a preferred web developer experienced in Flash. The copy for the website was written by a friend and copywriter who writes radio plays, and who came up with something completely different from anything any of the competition has. It was of outstanding, original quality, and the same copy was used in a shortened version for the new brochure:

Creative Solution 2: The client attends many trade and wedding fairs in order to promote their business, and their existing literature was a hit and miss affair consisting of many different leaflets produced by budget suppliers. They showed a general disregard for branding and lacked consistency, and in the main were printed poorly on budget paper that was unsuitable to create the right impression of the company.
Kim created a generic, 8 page A5 landscape brochure to replace all the client's existing leaflets and postcards. By making it generic we ensured it had a longer shelf life, and it's final size and weight meant that it was less expensive to post as well as being able to fit snugly into a handbag or pocket. The landscape format strengthened the design and ensured that the finished brochure stood out from all the competition's promotional literature. It was printed by a preferred local FSC accredited printer who was able to produce the brochure digitally to exceedingly high standards and without incurring further delivery charges.
Client feedback: The client was extremely happy with Kim's designs, which were adopted without alteration. They were very pleased that we had correctly captured and exceeded their design expectations, as well as correctly identifying their target markets and producing sustainable products well within their budget.
